The Role

We are looking for an exceptional individual who will support the General Partner in successfully raising a pre-seed venture capital Fund II by supporting the end-to-end fundraising and LP relations process. This role is responsible for supporting the build and maintenance of the fundraising infrastructure, managing LP outreach and diligence, and maintaining momentum—allowing the GP to focus on high-leverage investor relationships and closing.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Process & Strategy

  • Translate the GP’s investment thesis into LP-ready materials (pitch deck, one-pager, FAQs, data room).

  • Build and manage the fundraising timeline, target closes, and first-close strategy.

  • Support fund size scenarios and portfolio construction narratives.

LP Targeting & CRM Ownership

  • Build and maintain a segmented LP target list (family offices, HNWIs, FoFs, strategics).

  • Research LP preferences, check sizes, and prior commitments.

  • Own the CRM as the single source of truth for all LP interactions.

Outreach & Pipeline Management

  • Manage outbound and inbound LP outreach, follow-ups, and scheduling.
  • Prepare GP for LP meetings with pre-reads and post-meeting summaries.
  • Track soft circles, verbal commitments, and closing readiness.

Diligence & Data Room Management

  • Support a clean, institutional-quality LP data room.
  • Coordinate responses to LP diligence requests and custom analyses.
  • Ensure consistent, disciplined messaging across all LP touchpoints.

Closing & Fund Logistics

  • Track commitments, timelines, and first-close mechanics.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on LPAs, side letters, and MFN issues.
  • Support closing execution and capital call readiness.

Skills & Experience

Required

  • 2-4+ years in fundraising, investor relations, VC/PE operations, or fund-of-funds.
  • Strong written and oral communication and LP-grade presentation creation skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented. You have a habit of catching and correcting very small errors.
  • Strong project management skills. You will be required to keep track of hundreds of conversations and follow-up actions.

Preferred

  • Direct experience supporting or executing a fund raise
  • Experience with family offices
  • Exposure to early-stage or pre-seed venture capital

Attributes We Value

  • Extreme ownership and accountability
  • High trust, discretion, and professionalism
  • Process-driven, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Comfortable pushing for follow-ups and decisions
  • Calm, resilient, and effective under fundraising pressure

What we offer

  • Working in the heart of Downtown Toronto
  • Ability to build skill-sets across fundraising functions
  • Incredible growth and networking
  • International environment which treats everyone with respect, promotes diversity and gives you room to grow
