About The Role


The Group Finance Director will play a critical leadership role overseeing the company’s global financial consolidation, reporting, compliance, and audit processes.
This position will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements while driving process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls.


Key Responsibilities

Consolidation Management

  • Lead the monthly consolidation process for the company’s global operations, including subsidiaries and joint ventures, within NetSuite.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system and user issues related to accounting and consolidation to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Serve as the key accounting contact for the HoldCo and Fund Manager entities, providing subject matter expertise and oversight. 
  • Establish and maintain global accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency across regions.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure alignment with local statutory requirements while maintaining global consolidation integrity. 

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and deliver monthly group management reports, including detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all intercompany balances across the group.
  • Review, provide guidance, and approve month-end reporting packages submitted by accountants, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Drive continuous enhancements to the group’s reporting framework.

Group Audit

  • Take full ownership of the annual group audit process, including managing deliverables, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Proactively manage audit risks and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
  • Liaise with regional finance leads to ensure the timely submission of supporting documentation and schedules. 

Team Management

  • Manage and develop a team of accountants, overseeing day-to-day deliverables and performance. 
  • Supervise the work of external accounting service provider (PwC) and act as the primary point of contact for all related matters.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, setting clear and measurable annual objectives aligned with the company’s strategic goals. 
  • Drive talent development through on the job training and succession planning.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously improve and optimize our financial workflows and conventions leveraging technology and automation where possible. 
  • Together with the global head of finance and the CFO, lead the finance digital transformation roadmap, including ERP enhancements, data architecture, and reporting automation. 
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in all finance processes. 

Requirements

  • Proficient user of NetSuite (or similar ERP/accounting software).
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Results-driven and ambitious, with a strong commitment to excellence.
  • Decisive and proactive, with the ability to take ownership and solve problems independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality in financial reporting and compliance.

Other Requirements

  • Certified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in finance, with a focus on consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical, detail- oriented, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and regions.
  • Experience in a global or multi-entity environment, preferably in technology, investment, or asset management sectors.
